We provide a mobile rehabilitation service for clients that struggle to get down to Sutherland for in-clinic treatment. This is an at-home service geared towards dogs that can’t (or won’t!) travel well; particularly post-operative pets and our golden oldies. Mobile Rehab at ARK brings companion animal rehabilitation to your doorstep, with a qualified professional rehab specialist providing hands-on manual and laser therapy treatment as well as a tailored exercise programme for your pet conducted in the safety and security of your own home.

Much like a human massage or remedial exercise treatment, a Mobile Rehab session is about alleviating tension and stress, reducing pain associated with injury or an ongoing issue like arthritis, as well as strengthening and relaxing the body to promote faster recovery, healing, and wellness.
Unlike us, a pet can’t just tell us what’s hurting and why, so a home rehabilitation consultation starts with a visual assessment of conformation and gait, and then a hands-on feel to see what’s tense, uncomfortable, stiff, or painful. Then we get into massage, stretch, and laser therapy to tackle these areas of tension and discomfort, whilst also increasing blood circulation and reducing instances of spasm, inflammation, and swelling.
The session ends with targeted exercises to support your pet’s individual journey, as well as a conversation with you to discuss things that can be done to benefit your pet in between treatments.
